The circular devices that appear on the “Jerusalem” street sign and the spine of the book match up with the description of a “Puck’s Hat” in the “Rough Sleepers” chapter.

Well, I live on the junction of St Andrew’s Road, and another street featured in the book, so I just asked one of the nearby ghosts. There’s more to that tale, but let’s just say my sources are more than what they seem.
Also, Alan says as much in the acknowledgments at the end of the book 🙂

Also noticing a strong resemblance between this cover and that of the historical book “Jerusalem,” by Michel Join-Lambert.
